Indigenous and climate refugees

We contact logging and oil companies directly to change their environmental approaches that impact indigenous people including wildlife. In addition, we build coalition with International organizations including local authorities and village chiefs in the Congo river basin to assist climate refugees and displaced Baka Pygmies .

Because deforestation ranks second after green- house gas emissions for climate risk.  Cocoa farmers in the South east region of Cameroon where extreme deforestation is occurring have suffered longer periods of drought caused by climate change. Thus, we are in dialogue with academia to share new science and innovation for agricultural sustainability to maximize productivity by diversifying application beyond traditional domestic use.
