Schools in difficult communities have a high risk of failure. For example, children from disadvantaged families suffer from a lack of school supplies, insufficient housing infrastructure, poor paths, and long walking distances from home to school.
New and better quality school supplies allow children to successfully return to school empowered. We believe that children everywhere (including in Africa) deserve a great education. Consequently, during the month of September, HFAM distributes school kits to children containing new supplies such as notebooks, pens, colored pencils, and calculators for families in difficult situations.
We have secured two acres of land toward the building of a boarding facility for 100 pupils to shorten walking distance from remote villages to the public school located in Moloundou, Cameroon.
